Genetic make-up

Auto Orange Bud is a Sativa-dominant autoflower cannabis strain that has been developed over three years to achieve the best yields. The basis of this strain is a cross between the regular (photoperiod) Orange Bud and Auto Daiquiri Lime. By continuing to select the best plants for more than 12 generations, an enormously high-performing plant was obtained. All without losing the typical aroma and flavour of the original Orange Bud.

Plants and yield

Auto Orange Bud plants expand mainly widthwise in the first half of growth. Only after about five weeks does it really shoot up seriously. When grown indoors, the plants take about 12 weeks to bloom. Outdoors, it can take up to three weeks longer (depending on climate and/or temperature).

The yield per plant averages 100 to 150 grams. This can amount to up to 500 grams per square metre if grown efficiently indoors. Outdoors, Auto Orange Bud will also yield around 100 grams per plant on average.

Smell and taste

Auto Orange Bud retains the distinctive orange scent and flavour of the original Orange Bud. The terpenes found in the plant consist of almost 37% BetaMyrcene and 32% Limonene. This therefore directly explains the predominantly fruity aroma and flavour. To a lesser extent, Alpha-Pinene (pine scent) is present, something that can make both smell and taste just a little spicier.

Effect

With Auto Orange Bud's THC percentage approaching 20%, you can rightly speak of a very potent autoflowering variety. Users often report a hybrid experience where both a physical and mental high are present. Initially, you may feel happy and euphoric, and as the high progresses, the physical intoxication will also increase. You may then become relaxed, hungry and smiley.
